TW: violence, sexual assault.
1. About that fixation on babies: It's not so much about the babies as what they represent to her--the normal, happy life full of love she never got to have. She remembers her friend Vera, who married for love rather than money who looked so happy with her own child, and who was the catalyst for Rosalie realizing that her marriage wouldn't be like that, and that image sort of encapsulates the life she wanted.
2. But dude, she totally called dibs if Bella died. Babies! They're awesome! Some people are just born to be awesome fierce bitch mommies, okay. She makes sure to instruct Nessie in the fine art of epic snark.
3. Edward didn't reject her; she rejected him. It's kind of creepy to take a woman who just got raped and murdered and made her into your surrogate son's prospective vampire bride. Not your best idea, McDreamy. Though to be fair, Edward also wasn't super interested. Just as well.
4. She fucking loves violent video games. (...now you see why she and Emmett are a couple. That and their shared love of epic violence.)
5. She is actually very quietly into feminist and gender theory. Throughout her long lifetime, she's run into a lot of women with similar stories to tell (and occasionally taken revenge for them) and has thought a lot about why it happens, how it happens, and how to make it not happen again.
